Audi Shows the New 2013 RS4 Avant

One of the greatest station wagons ever

For sure, this is not the station wagon we used to know. The new 2013 RS4 Avant is made for those people who love fast cars and want to have some extra space. And you’ll just look great riding down the street in the new Audi station wagon. But it may be not an Avant. Audi has a whole line of awesome station wagons.

The Audi RS4 Avant, showed earlier in this year, is featured by a powerful 4.2-liter V8 engine that produces 450hp and 317lb-ft of torque. So these numbers show us obvious performance. RS4 Avant can go from 0 to 62 mph in pretty 4.7 seconds and it has a top speed of 155 mph. Transmission is a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch that works with the Audi Quattro all wheel drive system. Fuel economy looks good considering the vehicle’s power and performance, and is 21.98 mpg, actually it is 26 percent less than previous Audi model.

If you truly want to have the most of it, 2013 RS4 Avant may come with launch control, that allows the driver to hit the accelerator pedal while the launch control system manages the engagement of the clutch so all of the power is delivered to the road with the Audi Quattro AWD system. Audi RS4 Avant is largely made from aluminum, also the body is lowered by 20mm. 20-inch wheels are optional (that is standard 19-inch forged alloy wheels). Intersting, there’s an electromechanical power steering that gives you better feedback than the last version.

Also you can see that interior is black with carbon inlays and aluminum, stainless steel mesh and piano finish you can get as options. Also there are special sports seats and leather-covered flat-bottom steering wheel.

It will arrive in dealerships this fall, German pricing will start at €76,000. But now they do not plan to bring RS4 Avant to the U.S.
